Description

This is already the seventh Sviests compilation of Latvian ethno music. Like the previous releases, this one also contains various gems that might be described as ethno music, post-folklore or world music. Most of the music is based on traditional Latvian music materials – melodies, texts and instruments – but is does not avoid influences from contemporary music. This edition includes many compelling female and male voices that have not previously been heard on Sviests editions.
