Description

A compilation of contemporary Latvian folk music, which is released once every 2 years and provides an overview of the current folk music scene in Latvia. The groups and musical projects represented range from traditional acoustic folk groups to pagan metal, rap and medieval musicians.

One thing they all have in common is that, at some point, they have turned to traditional Latvian songs and melodies for inspiration. Most of the songs have been recorded specifically for this compilation.
