Description
Folklore group Ceiruleits was founded in 1990 in Līvāni. Its activity is based on the study, acquisition and further popularisation of folk traditions.
The group’s repertoire includes a wide range of songs, games and dances from all over Latvia, but mainly from their native region – Latgale.
Both older and younger folk musical instruments are used to making music – kokles (psaltery), pipes, bagpipes, harmonicas, violins, accordions, double bass and various rhythm instruments.
In group performances the songs are usually performed in an authentic manner.
