Description

This album Pa apli (in circles) was recorded on the occasion of Haralds Sīmanis’ 70th birthday. The songs represent a longer creative period with an emphasis on recent arrangements and cooperation with like-minded musicians. In this recording Haralds Sīmanis, Ilze Grunte and Andris Grunte are joined by singers Ieva Akuratere and Zane Šmite, percussionist Artis Orubs and guitarist Valdis Vanadziņš. Almost all lyrics are the poetry of Arvīds Ulme with whom Sīmanis has cooperated amost his entire creative life.
