Born and grew up in Latgale, Līvāni. Many years she sang and played in the children’s folklore group “Ceiruleits”, later in the Ethno-Rock group “Laimas muzykanti”, now she is lead singer in the group “Raxtu Raxti” and participant in the group ” Brāļi un māsas” . Studied ethnomusicology at the Latvian Academy of Music and lives in Riga.
Works also as music teacher for traditional violin, and has been creative workshop leader at Latvian camps in the U.S., Canada and Australia. As violin-player and singer she has participated in several theatre plays.
