In 1999 the musician Alexey Belkin organized a folk band Reelroad. Russian songs in Reelroad style are different from authentic way of performing, but from other way originate from it.<br\/>The band considers folklore only as an impulse for creating music of their own, such style of music could be called Russian post-folk. Traditional choral Russian singing mixed with different music cultures, different folk instruments (both Celtic and Russian) as fiddle, bagpipes, zhaleika (Russian bombard), gusli (Russian psaltery), hurdy-gurdy, flute, celtic harp, percussion, which are set on the modern rhythm section (bass guitar, full drum set) \u2013 that is the business card of Reelroad today.<br\/>Reelroad gave many performances in Russia and abroad.
